Ad-Hoc Marketing Team Application

Please complete the following items in order to apply:

• Resume must be submitted as a Google Drive link

• Portfolio must be submitted as a personal website link or Google Drive folder link

All items will be due Friday, November 14 at 6:00 PM. However, we will start reviewing applications as they are submitted, and will be contacting students for interviews before the due date.

Individuals must have the following skills:

• Strong written skills

• Be communicative and proactive

• Adaptable and flexible to change

• Self-motivated

• Creative and insightful

Individuals will need to be able to do the following: Manage tight deadlines

• Be flexible to changes in plans and timelines

• Complete individual projects in a timely manner

• Be able to be both a member of the team and lead it on certain projects

• Not be afraid to provide new creative ideas to the team

Scheduled time commitments are as follows:

• Attend the first team meeting on Thursday, November 27 at 7:00 PM

• Be available to work remotely over the winter break

• Attend a weekly meeting throughout the spring semester (starting week of 1/26)

Marketing Strategist

This person will aid the committee chair in managing the different promotional campaigns for the endowment and product. This person will be charged with analyzing the promotions and auditing the campaigns. The audits will result in this person delivering data and metrics to support the decision making process. He or she will also be helping create a long-term strategy for the marketing of both projects.

Experience in the following is required:

• Project management

• Statistical marketing research

• Understanding of or use of project management software (e.g. Basecamp, Trello, etc.)

Please submit an example of how you manage long-term projects. Appropriate submissions include:

• Paragraph describing a specific project

• Spreadsheet made for a project outlining a plan

Graphic Designer

The graphic designer will manage the illustration of all creative assets for the endowment and product, including but not limited to digital and print advertisements, website design, email designs, and photographs.

Experience in the following is required:

• Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator

• Photo taking and editing

Email management software experience (e.g. MailChimp) is recommended.

Please submit an electronic portfolio of your work including AT LEAST the following:

• Two graphic designs

• Two photographs

• Optional: Email design/template

You may submit your portfolio as a link to a personal website or in a Google Drive folder.


The videographer will manage the development and creation of videos centered on the various promotional campaigns of the endowment and product. The videographer may also be responsible for photography as well.

Experience in the following is required:

• Video shooting and editing

• Photo taking and editing

• Use of Final Cut Pro, Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, is a plus.

Please submit an electronic portfolio of your work including AT LEAST the following:

• One 3 minute video or less

• Optional: Two photographs
